Story

This valued client of Happenco, is facing numerous challenges with their current e-commerce supply chain solution, which include manual product administration, unsynchronised physical and online inventories, an outdated loyalty management system, and issues with returns and refunds processing. Symphonic proposed a comprehensive project to modernise and optimise the client's e-commerce supply chain solution. This project aims to streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and ultimately drive growth and profitability for Australia's leading cult denim label.

Challenges

Happenco's client is a renowned fashion retailer specialising in clothing and accessories. With a strong presence both in physical stores and online, the company has built a loyal customer base over the years. However, the client is facing several challenges in its e-commerce supply chain, which are hindering its growth potential and customer satisfaction. Australia's leading cult denim label needed an assessment and a business case of implementing such modernisation. The current issues included: 


  • Manual Product Administration: The client's product administration process is highly manual, leading to inefficiencies, errors, and delays in updating and managing their product catalogue.
  • Inventory Synchronisation: The physical and online inventories are not synchronised, causing discrepancies, overstocking, and understocking issues, leading to missed sales opportunities and customer dissatisfaction.
  • Outdated Loyalty Management: The loyalty management system is outdated, making it challenging to engage customers effectively, offer personalised incentives, and encourage repeat purchases.

 Developed a conceptual design for a modernised e-commerce supply chain solution. Evaluated potential technologies and frameworks. Outlined the integration of the new solution with existing systems. 

 Quantified potential benefits of the proposed solution. Assessed the return on investment (ROI) for the client. Identified risks and mitigation strategies. Aligned the solution with the client's strategic objectives. 

 Developed a preliminary project schedule outlining key milestones. Identified critical path activities and dependencies. Established timelines for each phase of the project. 

 Assessed the skills and expertise required for the project. Identified internal and external resources. Allocated responsibilities to team members. Evaluated the need for training and upskilling. 

 Estimated the budget required for the entire project. Broke down costs into development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. Provided a detailed cost breakdown for hardware, software, and labour. 

Outcomes

Upon completion of the discovery and assessment phase, Symphonic Management Consulting presented the findings and proposals to Australia's leading cult denim label for review and approval for their presentation to their board.
